Music in the Park
Hundreds of locals and visitors alike join together for this alive music outcome at Gascoigne Bluff on St. Simons Island the second Sun of every calendar month from 1-7pm. The proceeds from 2nd Lord's day benefit diverse local charitable organizations. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and coolers and savor listening to the alive music. Jekyll Island Treasures
This ii-month-long almanac consequence on Jekyll Island is a favorite tradition spawned from a fishing legacy.
In the early 1900s, east coast fishermen used hollow glass balls, or floats, on their nets as markers. Occasionally, the floats would break loose and wash ashore for lucky beachcombers to find and keep. Collecting these rare, highly sought after glass floats became a hobby in the 1950s.
Today, Jekyll Island hand-picks artists from beyond the country to create one-of-a-kind glass floats for its annual Island Treasures event.
The glass floats are part of a hide-and-seek manner game played on Jekyll Island throughout Jan and February. Each 24-hour interval, volunteers called Beach Buddies hide glass floats around the island for lucky guests to find and keep.
Each float is marked with a special tag and instructions for treasure finders to register their Island Treasures at the Jekyll Island Guest Information Center where they will receive a certificate of actuality and artist biography for their 1-of-a-kind bladder. The Heart is open up Monday-Sat, 9am – 6pm and Sunday 10am – 5pm.

Southeast Georgia Health System Span Run
This annual 5K event was certified by the U.S. Track and Field Association as "the toughest 5K in Georgia." The run takes place entirely on the seven,780-pes Sidney Lanier Bridge in Brunswick, Georgia, with participants starting on the southern side of the span, crossing over and returning dorsum ii times. Brunswick Actors' Theatre - THE COCKTAIL Hr past A.R. Gurney
The time is the mid '70s, the place a urban center in upstate New York. John, a playwright, returns to his family's house, bringing with him a new play which he has written about them. The fun continues from 12pm to 6pm with the Red, White & Bounce held at the Jekyll Isle Beach Village, with water slides, bounce houses, live music and local crafts and vendors on hand. A fireworks brandish takes place at 9pm.

A USTAF Certified 5K route. The 5k race winds through the beautiful live oak and Castilian moss-lined streets of St. Simons Isle at 7:00 AM! The 1 Mile Fun Run for children will be held immediately post-obit the 5K at eight:00 AM. The 1 Mile Fun Run will start and end at the same location as the 5k.
Golden Isles Track Club uses the gain of this event to support running-related causes in our customs, including Girls on the Run; local high schoolhouse runway and cross state teams; and local projects that develop and maintain walking, running, and cycling paths in Glynn County.
Fees include a loftier-quality brusque-sleeve T-shirt (youth and developed sizes). Just participants registered by June 19th are guaranteed a shirt.

Georgia Florida Golf Classic
Bulldog and Gator fans alike assemble on Jekyll Isle each twelvemonth for this traditional golf tournament held during the almanac Georgia-Florida college football game, which is one of the fiercest rivlaries in all of college football game. Held on Jekyll Isle'south beautiful eighteen-hole golf course, this tradition provides the perfect mix of golf game, food and fun. The RSM Classic
This almanac PGA Tour golf tournament is hosted by pro golfer Davis Love III at Sea Isle Golf Lodge, alluring acme professional person golfers from around the world. In 2010, the Davis Love Foundation partnered with the PGA TOUR to become the Host Organization of The RSM Classic, an Official PGA TOUR Consequence. The RSM Classic has raised more than $7 million to support charities focused on children and families in need.
